Every person is unique and so therapy is different for each person while still using the best, evidence-based practices available. Some problems may improve after just a few visits with new strategies and "airing things out." Others may require more time. Psychological testing can often be helpful as we work through this process.

Therapy is a safe, confidential time and place that you set aside to work with the thoughts, emotions, and even the brain physiology of our "self." We are whole persons and need all of these parts working together to thrive. If there is reason to suspect a biological problem or if you have not had a full physical recently, we will recommend you have a full physical with a good physician as some biological problems can have emotional or mental symptoms. Sometimes medications or other medical treatments may be an important part of "getting better" if your medical doctor recommends them. We are also well-trained in responsible spiritual integration if you desire.
