Stress Management 101:
"I can handle this" A research study for: > men and women > 18 years or older > who feel the effects of stress > are interested in real time help Stress Management 101 is a free opportunity to experience and learn stress management skills while participating in a research study. Brief experiential classes and homework will be used to demonstrate how deep breathing, pleasant activities, and fun can help you manage stress and make real changes in how you experience life! If eligible, study members commit to: > Read study outline and consult with a family member and/or medical or mental health provider about participation. > 3 randomly assigned, 50-minute educational classes. > Choose: Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. OR Saturdays at 11 a.m. > Attend all 3 sessions. * Next Session begins: - Currently No Active Studies > Do daily homework practicing relaxation skills. > Agree to fill out brief self-report measures at home as well as during classes. > Agree to pulse-oxygenation level readings during class using standard fingertip device. > That all data may be collected and entered into the research anonymously.
